🏦 Bank Employees Protest in Vizag

Bank employees and officers held protests at the GVMC Gandhi statue and Union Bank office in Seethammadhara, demanding solutions to their long-pending issues.

Their key demand is the introduction of a five-day banking system, making every Saturday a holiday. Employees said they had agreed to work an additional 40 minutes from Monday to Friday as part of an earlier agreement.

They also sought pension improvements, including updated dearness allowance benefits for retired bank employees.

The protest was organised following a call from the United Forum of Bank Unions, with local trade-union representatives extending their support.
