🚌 Vizag Tops AP in Stree Shakti Bus Usage

Visakhapatnam district has secured the top position in Andhra Pradesh for the use of free bus travel under the Stree Shakti scheme. When the ticket says ₹0, why should anyone say no? 😄

The district recorded around 93% occupancy, according to figures reviewed during the Chief Minister’s meeting with district collectors.

Between August 2025 and August 2026, women reportedly made approximately 8.99 crore free journeys using the scheme in the district.

The numbers indicate strong demand for free public transport among women travelling for work, education and everyday needs.
