Vizag Police Told to Step Up Night Patrols 🚔

Police Commissioner Shankhabrata Bagchi has directed officers to strengthen night patrols across Visakhapatnam to prevent thefts and reduce crime.

At a crime review meeting on September 29, he asked police stations to identify trouble spots and prioritise visible policing and police pickets.

Officers were also instructed to conduct surprise checks and maintain surveillance against ganja sales and use, harassment of women, triple riding and rash driving.

The Commissioner warned that corruption, negligence and improper behaviour towards complainants would invite strict action.
