đź’§ Vizag Groundwater Falls Nearly 5 Metres

Visakhapatnam’s groundwater level has declined by 4.95 metres compared to last year, according to the latest official data.

The city currently has only around 1.1 TMC of groundwater available for use, raising concerns about future water availability.

Across Andhra Pradesh, rainfall this season is 47.63% below normal, reducing the natural recharge of underground water reserves.

Low rainfall and increased dependence on borewells are adding pressure on Vizag’s groundwater. Let’s use water wisely and avoid unnecessary wastage. Every drop matters.
