🏞️ Valuable Government Lands in Vizag Under Scrutiny

Valuable government land across parts of Visakhapatnam district is allegedly being transferred into private hands using questionable documents and changes to land records.

According to the newspaper report, suspected irregularities have been identified across several mandals, including Bheemunipatnam, Pendurthi, Maharani Peta, Mulagada, Gajuwaka, Anandapuram and Padmanabham.

The alleged methods include manipulating ownership records, creating unauthorised claims and attempting registrations involving government land. Revenue officials are reportedly examining mutations, registrations and supporting documents connected to the affected properties.

A detailed investigation and digitisation of government land boundaries could help prevent further encroachments and protect valuable public assets.
