🌧️ Rain Exposes Gaps in Vizag’s Infrastructure

Continuous rain across Vizag has once again exposed problems with the city’s roads, drains and low-lying areas.

Several roads developed waterlogging, while potholes filled with rainwater became difficult for motorists to spot. Overflowing and unfinished drains also created risks for pedestrians and two-wheeler riders.

In some areas, roadside encroachments and blocked water outlets reportedly slowed the flow of rainwater. Damaged roads and poor street lighting made travelling even harder after dark.

The rain is a reminder that Vizag needs regular drain cleaning, quicker road repairs and better stormwater management, not just temporary fixes during the monsoon.
