Madhurawada May Get 24/7 Godavari Water đź’§
Madhurawada could receive round-the-clock drinking water under a â‚ą725.18 crore GVMC project. Work is expected to begin in October, according to a report published on September 29.
The plan is to bring Godavari water through the Yeleru system to Mudasarlova Reservoir, then supply it to Madhurawada’s growing residential areas.
In its first phase, the project is designed to serve about 2.5 lakh people. It also includes a new water treatment plant, storage facilities and a distribution network.
GVMC says construction is expected to take 18 months, followed by work needed to bring the system into operation.
