Homes Ready, But Where’s the Road? đźŹ

Families allotted TIDCO flats at Amaravathi Nagar, near Kommadi, are waiting to move in. Officials are preparing to hand over the flats on October 2, according to a report published today.
The problem is the half-kilometre approach road from Amaravathi Nagar Main Road. It remains a dirt road and has turned muddy after the recent rain. Residents say even walking to the housing complex is difficult.
Roads inside the complex have been built, but the route leading to it has not. The report says GVMC and TIDCO officials disagree over who is responsible for constructing it.
Some beneficiaries say their bank loans have already been approved and they are being asked to pay instalments. They want the approach road completed so they can move into their new homes.
