🍴 GVMC Is Checking Food Safety Across Vizag

Before that next biryani, dosa or chai… 👀🍽️

GVMC’s Sanitation and Health Enforcement teams carried out 98 inspections across Vizag over the past week, covering hotels, restaurants, bakeries, food joints and street vendors.

They found:

🍛 35 food-safety violations

🛍️ 33 single-use plastic violations

📋 18 establishments received notices

💰 ₹77,500 in fines were imposed

The teams checked things like food quality, raw materials, kitchen hygiene and plastic usage as part of the city’s Eat Right campaign.

GVMC says the inspections will continue, with the focus being simple:

Safe food. Healthy people. A cleaner Vizag. 💙
