♻️ GVMC Clears 255 Tonnes of Ganesh Festival Waste

GVMC conducted a major sanitation drive across Visakhapatnam after the Ganesh idol immersions.

Around 40,204 idols were immersed, generating approximately 255 tonnes of waste at immersion points across the city.

More than 320 sanitation workers worked continuously using JCBs, Bobcats and waste-collection vehicles. The collected material was segregated, while non-idol waste was prevented from entering the sea.

The drive helped clean the immersion areas quickly and protect Vizag’s coastline after the festivities.
