🦁 Four Lion Cubs Born at Vizag Zoo

Vizag’s Indira Gandhi Zoological Park has welcomed four Asiatic lion cubs, marking a major success for its conservation breeding programme.

The cubs were born around a month ago and remained under the close care of their mother during the crucial first few weeks. Zoo officials are continuously monitoring their health and development.

Asiatic lions are classified as endangered and are protected under Schedule I of the Wildlife Protection Act. In the wild, they are now found mainly in and around Gujarat’s Gir landscape.

Zoo curator G. Mangamma said the birth strengthens Vizag Zoo’s efforts to conserve the rare species for future generations.
