A complaint submitted to the Harbour Police Station has raised concerns over the alleged disappearance of manganese ore stored at Visakhapatnam Port. 🚢

According to the complaint, the vessel MV T Prime unloaded approximately 26,400 metric tonnes of manganese ore on February 7, 2026. The cargo was reportedly stored at the port’s S4 Area Plot before being transported by road. 🚛

📋 During the reconciliation of cargo receipts and dispatch records, a shortage of approximately 1,095.96 metric tonnes (10.96 lakh kg) was allegedly identified. Its estimated value is around ₹2.5 crore.

🔍 The complaint has requested a detailed investigation and necessary action. The shortage and its cause have not yet been officially confirmed by the police or Visakhapatnam Port Authority.
